My light burns bright and strong……..But not giving honor to the light of the unjust, racists or evil-doers. When my mind and soul is; disillusioned…disappointed…angry…overwelmed…impatient with the slow moving wheels of justice…repeated acts of brutality being excused and overlooked, across the U.S.
The evidence was there for the whole world to see, like a slap in the face…Yet, they turn a blind-eye, take a pause, giving them more time, as if to excuse the behavior or action. An American is caught in the act of committing murder or assault, they should be arrested immediately. (investigate while in custody)
Yes, even the police. Not given time, like a cup of tea steeping. Those human lives taken deserve more thought and quick action of justice. It boils down to acknowledgement of the unbalanced scale of justice, brutality and murder. A simple slap on the hand as a punishment. Frustration with a repeated cycle of looking the other way, as if it’s an acceptable loss. When a Black American is beaten or murdered.
** I do not condone the looting and burning of buildings. It’s wrong, but more eyes where opened, people where awakened and as the real issue of protesting for equality & justice…
